Introducing Maintenance Jobs

Data is king! It's the lifeblood that fuels your campaigns, ensures accurate customer targeting, and enables personalized messaging. However, this data can quickly become a double-edged sword if not properly managed. Dirty, incomplete, or outdated data can lead to ineffective marketing efforts and, ultimately, a waste of resources.

This is why, we are thrilled to introduce our latest feature: Maintenance Jobs.

This time we are starting small, and we will introduce more job types and ultimately more features as we go.

Right now, we're launching this feature with a single maintenance job: Deactivate Users. But more job types will be gradually released, such as Delete Geo-Zones, Void Digital Passes or Archive Campaigns. We will eventually also allow you to automate when and how often these jobs run as scheduled tasks too.

For now, we made it super simple to clean your audience and deactivate users by selecting this job type:

Select a medium:

And by providing a certain criteria:

These maintenance jobs can perform dry-runs, allowing you to first analyze the impact of a cleanup job:

Jobs created with this option toggled OFF will effectively deactivate any users that match your criteria (assuming that they no longer have any other push devices, email contacts or phone numbers). Additionally, to prevent mistakes, when you create maintenance jobs with this option toggled OFF, you will need to authenticate using your credentials and every job will be recorded in your app's audit logs.

Maintenance jobs will also generate a CSV file with all the records that are deleted or eligible to be deleted.

This new feature is only available for the app's owner or any account with Administrator or Developer role.
