Everybody wants to hack the world with Generative AI

As businesses seek to streamline their communication with customers and improve engagement, producing high-quality content can be time-consuming and resource-intensive. With the ability to produce content at scale, and ensure consistency across multiple channels and languages, generative AI emerged as a powerful tool for teams looking to enhance their marketing efforts.

But what is Generative AI?

Generative AI refers to a type of artificial intelligence that uses deep learning algorithms to create new data, such as images, videos, music, or text, that is similar in style and content to the data it was trained on. Generative AI models are trained on large datasets of examples, and they use this data to generate new output that mimics the patterns and structure of the training data.

Generative AI can be used for a wide range of applications, from creating realistic images and videos to generating natural language text.

Shortcomings

While generative AI has many advantages, it is not without its shortcomings. One major challenge with generative AI is that it can produce biased or low-quality output if the training data is not diverse or representative of the target audience. This is because generative AI models learn from the data they are fed, and if the data is biased, the model will replicate those biases in its output.

It also requires large amounts of high-quality data to produce accurate and useful results. This can be a barrier for smaller businesses or those with limited resources. Additionally, generative AI can sometimes produce output that is difficult to interpret or explain, making it challenging for businesses to understand why certain content was generated.

Legislation & AI

As generative AI becomes more prevalent and powerful, there is growing concern about the ethical and legal implications of its use. The use of generative AI raises questions about ownership of the generated content, as well as potential copyright and intellectual property issues. There is also concern about the potential for generative AI to be used for malicious purposes, such as creating deepfakes or spreading disinformation.

To address these concerns, some countries and organizations have begun to develop legislation and guidelines for the use of generative AI. For example, the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) includes provisions that regulate the use of AI and require transparency and accountability in its use. Additionally, the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has developed guidelines for the ethical use of AI, which include principles such as fairness, transparency, and accountability.

Despite these efforts, there is still much work to be done to develop clear and effective legislation and guidelines for the use of generative AI. As the technology continues to advance and become more widespread, it will be important for policymakers and organizations to stay informed and adapt to these changes in order to ensure that the use of generative AI is ethical and beneficial for society as a whole.

Notificare & Generative AI

At Notificare, we have taken the first steps to incorporate generative AI in our operations and product offering. We still share some concerns when it comes to handling personal data and the legality of the generated content.

For these reasons, we are integrating with existing generative AI products, where you as the customer will select which ones to use, from all the services that we will support.

At this point, we are only focusing on helping you create content at scale, using services like OpenAI, Stability.ai and a few others. Although, we are also exploring training our own models, these services offer powerful APIs that we simply cannot (or have the ability to) replicate. Nor we want to. Instead, we will provide you with the means to use them, from within Notificare.

For example, configuring a service like OpenAI in Notificare, will require you to simply provide us with an API Key:

After that, you should be able to generate text and images in push, email and SMS campaigns, in-app messages, or almost anywhere where you might need AI help. Here's an example of how you'll be able to easily optimize a subject line for an email message, in our message composer:

Notice how you will only need to provide a sample text and select a few options to generate an AI optimized text specifically crafted for that field.

But, there will also be other places, where you will be able to use a prompt to generate any kind of text you want. For example, in the body of your email, any components with text will let you use a prompt:

And you will also be able to generate images. Here's an example of how you take advantage of OpenAI's image generation, to create artwork for an in-app message:

As you can see, we will offer the possibility to select a few options that will allow you to define what is needed to generate high-quality images with virtually no effort. Of course, if you're already familiar with the capabilities of these APIs, and, most importantly, how to optimize your prompt, you can still choose to do so:

And when you do configure more than one generative AI provider, you will also be able to select which one you want to use for a certain context (if more than one is applicable):

At the very least, these new features of our new dashboard (currently under private beta) will have you using generative AI in no time. Our ultimate goal is to increase productivity while simultaneously unleashing human creativity to achieve even greater things.

Future Development

With this foundation, we are now aiming higher, and we will build even more AI powered features. We've already identified how generative AI can help automatically translate localized content. When it comes to images or video, the next logical step is to allow marketers to transform, customize or edit AI generated media even further. This will allow you to create rich media that looks and feels just like your brand. Speech-to-text is also on the horizon, and we will explore ways of integrating automatic speech recognition into Notificare.

Furthermore, we will also train our own models to enhance our support, where an AI assistant will guide you through our documentation and help you implement our APIs and SDKs. Obviously, a human will still be there for you if needed.

Conclusion

By using generative AI to produce personalized, efficient, and multilingual content, businesses can improve customer engagement, drive growth, and save time and resources. With Notificare, you will have the freedom to pick the best tool for the job, at absolutely no extra cost. These features will be included, for free, in all our plans.

As always, feel free to reach out if you have any questions. And don't hesitate to join our newsletter and be the first to know when we officially release these features.
